The trek begins near the pristine Sanasar Lake and ends at the ancient Raja Shankhpal Temple, believed to be over 400 years old and situated at an elevation of 2,897 meters, the highest point of the Shankhpal Ridge. The temple, dedicated to a local deity, hosts an annual pilgrimage followed by a grand fair.
